About Us
An initiative led by students from the Agora club at Shenzhen Senior High School, dedicated to illuminating complex topics with clarity and integrity.
To make public policy understandable, uncover historical truths, and foster a more informed and engaged citizenry. We believe that understanding the nuances of governance and history is essential for a healthy democracy and a progressive society.
We envision a world where complex information is a bridge, not a barrier, to understanding. We strive to be a trusted source of insightful analysis and well-researched content that empowers individuals to form their own informed opinions.
Our Origin Story
An Agora Club Initiative
"The Partial Truth" was founded in 2023 as the official website of the Agora club at Shenzhen Senior High School. It was created to provide a platform for students to engage with complex societal issues, practice critical thinking, and share well-researched perspectives.
The project is led by founder Xiyue Jiao and a dedicated team of students who believe in the power of knowledge and open discourse.

The Philosophy Behind Our Name
The name "The Partial Truth" reflects a core philosophical stance: that any single perspective, narrative, or piece of information is, by its nature, only part of a larger, more complex reality. History is written by victors, policies are shaped by compromise, and data can be interpreted in multiple ways.
Our commitment is not to claim possession of "the whole truth"—an often-elusive concept—but to strive to piece together the various "partial truths." We aim to present information with an awareness of its context, its limitations, and the perspectives it may or may not represent.
By acknowledging the partiality inherent in all information, we encourage critical thinking and a deeper engagement with the subject matter. Our goal is to equip our readers with a multifaceted understanding, enabling them to see beyond simple narratives and appreciate the intricate tapestry of public policy and history.
